Remember in my introductory post the part about sucking at things? Yeah. Communication was on the list. Communicating at work to my employees, employers, or peers was a breeze. Communicating to my partner? Not so much. But why?
Vulnerability. The downfall of being perceived as a strong person is exposing your vulnerable side. My stubborn ass refused to ever look weak.
I hit my thirties and stopped caring about optics as much. After my divorce (yes, these posts bounce around the timeline of my life), I decided to throw red flags and be completely open about who I am and what’s going through my mind.
…And it ran off all of my prospective suitors from dating apps. Except for one extremely unexpected one. Good riddance. (To be continued…)
