I completely missed posting my “Marriage: A Year in Review” post.
Just kidding. I never intended on writing one. I’m too busy and this year was a little too crazy for me to even think about making a full review post about it so I’ll have to summarize. Parts of it I 10/10 would NOT recommend. Parts of it made me laugh so hard I snorted. There were a lot of learning moments. There were a lot of loving moments. It didn’t look anything like your average first year of marriage but that is because my husband and I have managed to squeeze ten years of marriage into a year.
But we survived.
And so has our marriage.
I have so much advice to give but advice isn’t one size fits all. I can just suggest making time to keep on dating each other, say I love you (or in my case replying with “YOU SHOULD!” as you cackle) regularly, laugh at each other and yourself, work through things instead of getting over them, and remember why you fell in love with your person in the first place.
